Universal Studios Military & Veteran Discount
Universal Orlando’s 2026 Military Freedom Pass is $220 (2-park) or $255 (3-park) at base ITT/MWR offices; Universal Hollywood offers military ticket pricing via base MWR/ITT or ID.me.
Universal’s military offers depend on which resort you’re visiting. At Universal Orlando Resort (Florida), eligible service members can buy the 2026 Military Freedom Pass — a year-plus theme-park pass for $220 (2-Park) or $255 (3-Park, adding Volcano Bay) — through a base ITT/MWR ticket office, not at the Universal gate or website. At Universal Studios Hollywood (California) there’s no Freedom Pass; instead you get military pricing on day tickets and select passes, bought through a base MWR/ITT office or online by verifying with ID.me.
Eligibility centers on active-duty, retired, Guard, Reserve, and Coast Guard members, their spouses, and active DoD civilians; you’ll need a valid military (DEERS-issued) photo ID to buy and activate Orlando passes. The Orlando offer is a dated, annually-renewed promotion with blockout dates and purchase limits, valid November 13, 2025 through December 18, 2026, so confirm current terms before you travel. Universal does not publish a specific dollar figure for the Hollywood military discount, so we don’t state one here.
This is an independent guide to help you use the offer. We’re not affiliated with Universal, and Universal controls the terms and can change them at any time. Always confirm details on Universal’s official military pages before you buy.

WHO QUALIFIES
Universal runs two different military programs in 2026. At Universal Orlando Resort, eligible service members buy the 2026 Military Freedom Pass — $220 (2-park) or $255 (3-park, adds Volcano Bay) — only at base ITT/MWR offices. At Universal Studios Hollywood there is no Freedom Pass; you get military pricing on day tickets and select passes via base MWR/ITT or online with ID.me (exact amount not published officially).
- Active-duty service members (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard).
- Retired military members (and their spouses).
- National Guard members.
- Active Reservists.
- Coast Guard members.
- Spouses of eligible service members — for Orlando, a spouse may purchase and use the benefit even if the member is not present, with a DEERS-issued ID.
- Active DoD civilians.
- For Universal Orlando specifically, the official press release also names 100% disabled veterans and/or their spouses. General veterans without a qualifying DoD/DEERS ID are not broadly named for the Orlando ITT program — Hollywood’s ID.me flow verifies a broader Military community, so confirm there.

HOW IT WORKS
The Orlando 2026 Military Freedom Pass functions like an annual pass: unlimited admission except on blockout dates. The 2-Park version ($220) covers Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure; the 3-Park version ($255) adds Volcano Bay. It is sold only at participating base ITT/MWR ticket offices — Universal’s press release states the offer cannot be purchased at the Universal Orlando front gate — and you can buy up to 6 passes per valid military ID.
You receive vouchers rather than active tickets. At the park you activate them at a ticket booth or resort-hotel counter, with the military member or spouse present and a DEERS ID in hand; one ticket must be used by the member or spouse, and the DEERS ID is shown again at first entry. After activation, each pass is tied to its assigned person by facial recognition. An activated pass also unlocks specially priced 1-Day Epic Universe add-on tickets (Epic Universe is not part of the base pass), and Orlando offers 40% off Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort plus military vacation packages booked at 1-877-801-9720.
Universal Studios Hollywood runs a separate program with none of those Orlando terms. There is no Freedom Pass; instead, military shoppers get pricing on day tickets and select passes either at a base MWR/ITT office or online by verifying their Military community through ID.me. Universal does not publish the exact Hollywood discount on its official site, and the figure varies by where you buy — base ticket offices typically offer deeper pricing than the gate — so we don’t assert a specific number.
Exclusions & fine print
- Orlando blockout dates: Dec 25, 2025 – Jan 4, 2026 and Mar 30, 2026 – Apr 6, 2026 (all parks); plus Oct 26 – Dec 18, 2026 for Volcano Bay only (3-Park).
- The Orlando Military Freedom Pass cannot be purchased at the Universal Orlando front gate or on Universal’s website — only at participating base ITT/MWR offices.
- Up to 6 passes per valid military ID; additional later purchases generally must be made at the same ticket office (individual ITT office policies vary).
- Once activated, an Orlando pass is non-transferable and is tied to the assigned person (facial recognition at entry).
- Epic Universe is not included in the base pass; an activated 2026 Military Freedom Pass unlocks specially priced 1-Day Epic Universe add-on tickets (limit 1 per day per pass, 6 per transaction).
- The Hollywood discount amount is not published on Universal’s official site and varies by where you buy — do not rely on a specific dollar figure until you confirm it at a base office or the ID.me-gated checkout.
- This record reflects the 2026 Military Freedom Pass (expires Dec 18, 2026). The pass is annually renewed — confirm the current year’s terms before you buy.
