Macy's Military & Veteran Discount
Macy's has no official military or veteran discount — ID.me and Military.com both confirm it. Here's what's real, why coupon-site claims are wrong, and how to save.
Macy's does not currently offer an official military or veteran discount. There is no verified-status program at checkout or in stores, and Macy's does not use ID.me, SheerID, or GovX to extend a price break to service members, veterans, or their families. If you have seen a "Macy's 10% military discount" or "20% off military promo code" on a coupon site, those claims are not confirmed by Macy's or by any identity-verification provider — treat them with caution.
What is real: Macy's runs frequent public sales (including a large annual Veterans Day Sale that is open to everyone, not gated to military status), a rewards program, and a price-match policy. Separately, members of WeSalute (formerly Veterans Advantage) can access a third-party cash-back offer on Macy's purchases through the BenefitHub marketplace — but that is a WeSalute member benefit, not a discount issued by Macy's.
This is an independent guide. NavyWeek is not affiliated with Macy's. Macy's controls its own offers and can add or change a military discount at any time; we re-check this page on a schedule and note the date below.

WHO QUALIFIES
Macy's does not offer an official military or veteran discount — it uses no ID.me, SheerID, or GovX for one, ID.me is "not aware" of any offer, and Military.com says Macy's may not offer one. Coupon-site "10% off" or "20% off promo code" claims are unsupported. Everyone saves the same way: public sales, Star Rewards, and price match.
- No one qualifies for a Macy's military discount because none exists — active duty, veterans, retirees, Reserve/Guard, spouses, and dependents all pay the same prices as every shopper.
- No first-responder, nurse, teacher, government, or student discount is published by Macy’s either.
- For the separate WeSalute cash-back offer, WeSalute states its military audience includes active duty, retirees, veterans, current/former Guard & Reserve, and immediate family — but that eligibility is for WeSalute membership, not a Macy’s program.

HOW TO REDEEM
Online at www.macys.com
- No military discount to redeemThere is no Macy’s military discount online. To save as a military shopper through legitimate channels:
- Shop public salesShop Macy’s public sales and clearance directly at macys.com — these prices are available to all customers.
- WeSalute members: cash backIf you’re a WeSalute member, access the Macy’s cash-back offer through the WeSalute/BenefitHub marketplace (a WeSalute benefit, subject to WeSalute’s terms — not a Macy’s checkout discount).
In store
- No register-level military discountThere is no Macy’s military discount to present at the register. In-store shoppers can use public Macy’s sales, coupons, and Star Rewards as normally available to all customers.
HOW IT WORKS
Macy's does not run a status-verified military discount, so there is no ID.me, SheerID, GovX, or WeSalute verification step at Macy's checkout. (WeSalute verifies its own members independently of Macy's; that verification gates WeSalute membership, not a Macy's discount.) Macy's /shop/featured/military URL is simply a product category for military-style apparel, not a discount program.
The legitimate, official ways for military shoppers to save at Macy's are the same as for everyone: Macy's frequent storewide sales (including the all-shopper Veterans Day Sale), the new-subscriber email sign-up offer, the Star Rewards loyalty program, and Macy's price match. None of these require military status.
Separately, WeSalute members can access a Macy's cash-back offer via BenefitHub — a third-party rebate, not a Macy's discount, that posts after purchase under WeSalute's rules. Some department-store and home peers do offer verified military discounts, so military shoppers comparison-shopping big-ticket items may find better military-specific pricing elsewhere.
Exclusions & fine print
- No Macy's military discount exists, so there are no military-discount exclusions. Coupon sites advertising a Macy's "10% off" or "20% off military promo code" are not supported by Macy's or any verification provider.
- For the third-party WeSalute cash-back offer: terms, eligible categories, and payout are set by WeSalute/BenefitHub, not Macy’s, and can change at any time. Cash back is not a point-of-sale discount and typically posts after purchase.
- General Macy’s sale, coupon, and Star Rewards exclusions (e.g., certain brands and "Everyday Values") apply to all shoppers per Macy’s standard policies; these are not military-specific.
- Region: United States.

All military & veteran discountsEditorial policy
- Source priority. We cite ID.me's Macy's page, Military.com, and macys.com first, and report plainly that Macy's offers no official military or veteran discount — ID.me is "not aware" of one and Macy's publishes no military-discount page (its /shop/featured/military URL is a product category, not a discount). The Star Rewards program, public sales, and price match are Macy's own, open to all. A WeSalute cash-back offer exists but is a third-party WeSalute member benefit, not a Macy's discount. Aggregator "10%/20% off" claims are unverified.
