New Balance Military & Veteran Discount
15% off full-price online orders for military, veterans, spouses, and dependents — plus first responders, nurses, teachers, and seniors 60+ — verified free through ID.me.
New Balance gives verified military members — including active duty, veterans, retirees, spouses, and dependents — 15% off full-price orders at newbalance.com. You verify your status through ID.me, which issues a unique discount code you enter at checkout. The same 15% extends to first responders, nurses, medical providers, hospital employees, teachers, government employees, and seniors 60+.
A few things to know before you shop: the discount is online only (it isn’t honored in New Balance stores), applies to full-price items only, can’t be stacked with other offers, and is limited to one code per customer every 30 days. New Balance also publishes a long Sale Exclusions list — many popular styles (like the 990, 1080, 550, 327, and 9060) are excluded — so check before you count on the discount for a specific shoe.
This is an independent guide to help you use the offer. We’re not affiliated with New Balance, and New Balance controls the terms and can change them at any time. Always confirm details on New Balance’s official discount page before you buy.

WHO QUALIFIES
New Balance offers 15% off full-price online orders at newbalance.com to verified military members, veterans, spouses, and dependents — plus first responders, nurses, medical providers, hospital employees, teachers, government employees, and seniors 60+ — verified free through ID.me.
- Active-duty service members, verified through the ID.me Military community.
- Veterans and military retirees, explicitly listed on New Balance’s discount page (ID.me Military community).
- Military spouses and dependents — explicitly listed by New Balance under Military ("active duty, veterans, retirees, spouses, dependents, and more").
- Reserve and National Guard members are not separately named on New Balance’s page ("and more"); ID.me’s Military community typically covers them, but confirm through ID.me before assuming eligibility.
- First responders (police, fire, EMT, 911 dispatchers; active or retired), verified as a separate ID.me community.
- Nurses, medical providers, and hospital employees, each verified as separate ID.me communities.
- Teachers (classroom teachers, principals, school employees, college professors), verified through ID.me.
- Government employees, verified through ID.me.
- Seniors 60+, verified through ID.me with proof of ID.
- Students are not listed among New Balance’s eligible communities on its discount page — treat as not eligible for this offer.

- Get your unique discount codeOnce validated, ID.me issues you a unique, one-time-use discount code.
- Shop full-price items at newbalance.comAdd eligible, full-price items to your bag. Sale, clearance, and excluded styles do not qualify.
- Apply your code at checkoutEnter your unique code at checkout to apply the 15% discount. Each code is one-time use, and you’re limited to one code per customer every 30 days — re-verify through ID.me for a new code on future orders.
HOW IT WORKS
New Balance uses ID.me to confirm eligibility — the same identity service used by the VA, the IRS, and many major retailers. You create a free ID.me account and verify your community (Military, First Responder, Nurse, Medical Provider, Hospital Employee, Teacher, Government Employee, or Senior 60+), and ID.me issues a unique, one-time-use discount code. You enter that code at checkout on newbalance.com.
New Balance’s own page is unusually explicit about family eligibility: it lists Military as "active duty, veterans, retirees, spouses, dependents, and more." That spouse and dependent coverage is rare to see stated on a brand’s own page. Reserve and National Guard members are not separately named ("and more"); ID.me’s Military community typically covers them, but it’s worth confirming through ID.me.
Because each code is single-use with a one-per-30-days limit, you re-verify or request a new code through ID.me for future orders. New Balance states you will not receive marketing from ID.me or New Balance unless you opt in, and directs shoppers with ID.me account issues to help.id.me.
One thing to watch: several coupon and aggregator pages advertise 25% or 20% off (and one stale summary shows 10%). None of those is the verified military offer — 15% is the only rate confirmed on New Balance’s official idme.html page and on the ID.me store page. Separately, New Balance runs its own sitewide sales on their own codes (for example SUMMER26), but those can’t be combined with the ID.me code.
Exclusions & fine print
- Online only: New Balance states the discount is "valid only at newbalance.com" — it is not redeemable in physical New Balance stores.
- Full-price items only: the discount does not apply to sale or clearance items.
- Limited to one code per customer per 30 days, and each code is valid for one-time use only.
- Cannot be combined with other offers — it does not stack with promo codes or sale prices.
- New Balance publishes a Sale Exclusions list that applies to all discounts, coupons, and promotional codes (which covers the ID.me code). Many popular styles are excluded — including 990, 1080, 860, 1540, 550, 327, 530, 574, 9060, 1906, 2002, and the COCO tennis line. This list changes; check sale-exclusions.html for the current styles.
- Gift cards and eGift cards are excluded.
- New Balance’s own page does not state a dollar order cap; the ID.me store listing reports "15% off orders up to $400 plus free shipping," so verify how larger orders behave at checkout.
- Terms here reflect newbalance.com (United States).
