Galls Military & Veteran Discount
Galls has no verified military discount — just a self-declared 15% signup code that excludes top brands. Here’s why the public sitewide sale usually beats it.
Galls sells uniforms, duty gear, and tactical equipment to public-safety professionals — but it does not run a verified military discount. There’s no ID.me, SheerID, or GovX gate. What people call the "Galls military discount" is really its "Unlock 15% Off" email/text signup code: you pick a profession from a dropdown (which even includes "Civilian") and get a 15%-off code — nothing checks your service.
That code works only on non-excluded brands (Galls excludes 5.11, Nike, Under Armour, Danner, Safariland, and many others from all promo codes), it’s one per order, and it can’t be combined with anything else. Because Galls almost always runs a public sitewide sale (up to 25% off as of July 18, 2026) that anyone can use without a code, the public sale or clearance price usually beats the 15% code — and you can’t stack them, so you take whichever is lower.
If you need an excluded premium brand, no Galls code helps at all — buy it on sale, on clearance, or through that brand’s own military offer. This is an independent guide; NavyWeek is not affiliated with Galls, and Galls controls the terms and can change them at any time.

BEST SAVINGS PATH
The smartest route depends on your situation. Answer the two questions to find your best path, or scan the full decision table below.
| Path | Stack | Effective price | You save | Best when |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| "Military" / signup 15% code | Single code; non-excluded brands only | $170 | $30 (15%) | Cart is regular-price and all items are non-excluded brands |
| Public sitewide sale (up to 25%) | No code needed; can’t add the 15% on top | $150–$185 (item-dependent) | Up to ~$50 on qualifying items | A sale is live (it usually is) — the deeper it is, the more it beats the code |
| Clearance | Standalone markdowns | Varies — often deepest | 30–70% on specific SKUs | You’re flexible on model/size — the biggest raw markdown |
| First-responder 10% (if you qualify) | Online form; single code | $180 | $20 (10%) | You’re a first responder and the sale is shallow that week |
| Excluded-brand items (5.11, Nike, UA, Danner, Safariland…) | No code works | $200 (or the sale price if that brand is on sale) | $0 from any code | You need a premium brand — only the sale/clearance cuts the price |
WHO QUALIFIES
Galls has no identity-verified military discount — no ID.me, SheerID, or GovX gate. The "Galls military discount" is really a public, self-declared 15% email/text signup code that excludes most premium brands, is one-per-order, and can’t be combined — so the public sitewide sale (up to 25%) usually beats it.
- There is no identity-verified military discount at Galls — no ID.me, SheerID, GovX, WeSalute, or VerifyPass gate.
- The "Unlock 15% Off" signup code is public and self-declared: you pick a profession from a dropdown (which even lists "Civilian"), so nothing checks your service.
- Editorial listings frame the code as 15% off for active duty, retirees, veterans, Reserve/National Guard, and dependents — but it is the same public code, not a service-gated rate.
- A separate 10% first-responder code is reported (via an online form) but is not confirmed on a Galls terms page — treat it as reported, not guaranteed.
| Audience | Discount |

HOW TO REDEEM
Online at www.galls.com
- Open the "Unlock 15% Off" signup on galls.comOn galls.com, open the "Unlock 15% Off" email/text signup (banner or footer). There is no identity verification — the profession field is a marketing tag.
- Enter your email/phone and pick a professionSelect a profession from the dropdown (which includes "Civilian") and submit. Everyone gets the same 15% code.
- Apply the code — non-excluded brands onlyEnter the 15%-off code in your cart. It works on non-excluded brands only, one code per order, and can’t be combined with anything else.
- Check the sitewide sale firstBefore you use the code, compare the current sitewide sale price — if the sale beats 15%, skip the code, because you can’t use both.
HOW IT WORKS
Here’s the debunk. Coupon and aggregator pages assert a flat "up to 10%–25% military discount," a "military ID at galls.com" gate, and stackable "military codes." None is verified. Galls uses no military identity verification — the profession dropdown on the 15% signup form literally offers "Civilian" as an option, so it’s a self-declared marketing code, not a service-gated discount. The "up to 25%" figure is the public sitewide sale, available to everyone, not a military rate.
The structural limits matter. Galls’ own offer-details page states "Limit one promotion code per order" and "Offer cannot be combined with any other offers, discounts or services." So the 15% code can’t stack on the sitewide sale or any other code — and because that sale is often 20–25% and needs no code, it frequently beats the 15%. Take whichever is lower, never both.
One more distinction: Galls does require credential verification to purchase restricted items (e.g., items marked POLICE/SHERIFF) — you email a department ID to id@galls.com, provide a letter of authorization, or ship to your agency. That gate controls what you can buy, not a discount. And since Galls competes with GovX, there’s no Galls GovX storefront and no tax-free exchange channel to compare.
Exclusions & fine print
- One promotion code per order; the code "cannot be combined with any other offers, discounts or services."
- A long list of premium brands takes no promo code at all: 5.11, Altama, Bates, Carhartt, Danner, First Tactical, Flying Cross, Lion, Lowa, Merrell, Nike, Original S.W.A.T., Rocky, Safariland, Streamlight, Thorogood, Under Armour, Vertx and others.
- The 15% code is not service-verified — do not treat it as a guaranteed military rate.
- Galls has no GovX storefront and no tax-free exchange channel, so there is no marketplace substitute to compare.
- Restricted (marked/agency) items require department credential verification to purchase — a gate on what you can buy, not a discount.

- Source priority. We cite Galls’ own offer-details page (one code per order, non-combinable, and the excluded-brand list) and its rendered "Unlock 15% Off" signup form first, and report plainly that no verified military program exists — the "Select Your Profession" dropdown even lists "Civilian," so nothing checks your service. The 15% signup code, the up-to-25% sitewide sale, and the reported 10% first-responder code are quoted from Galls and Military.com and confirmed on the "Last verified" date above. We deliberately correct the aggregators’ inflated "up to 25% military discount," the fake "military ID at galls.com" gate, and the "stackable military codes" claims, none of which is verified.
