SIXT rent a car gives active U.S. military members and veterans up to 15% off the daily base rate on its rental fleet. The discount covers people serving now and those who have served, across all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces plus the National Guard Reserve.

To get it, you verify your military or veteran status through GoCertify — SIXT’s verification partner — and then book through the GoCertify-linked SIXT page. No coupon code is required; SIXT applies the discounted rate automatically when you reserve through that flow. Because this is a car rental, there is no in-store coupon to hand over — everything happens online when you book.

Verification is handled by GoCertify, an independent verification service — not ID.me, GovX, SheerID, or WeSalute. You verify your status before booking, on the GoCertify offer page. SIXT’s page does not state whether a SIXT account is required, nor a re-verification frequency, so don’t assume "verify once forever." Accepted IDs include a U.S. Armed Forces ID or an Army/Air National Guard Reserve ID; for veterans, a driver’s license with veteran designation, a state veterans ID card, or the VA VIC. If verification fails, GoCertify offers a Support request form; for questions about which IDs are accepted, SIXT advises contacting the specific branch before booking.

The most important caveat is that "up to 15%" is a ceiling, and the discount applies to the daily base rate only — taxes, fees, surcharges, and extras (protection packages, GPS, child seats) are excluded. Rentals must be 3–27 days, so very short 1–2 day trips won’t qualify. The offer can’t be combined with other promotions or corporate rates. SIXT’s own offer-terms page warns that an incorrect discount is occasionally applied due to a website issue, and tells renters to contact SIXT directly to fix it — so check that your confirmed rate reflects the discount.

A note on scope: SIXT’s First Responder campaign page shows country-tiered percentages (up to 15% in the US/UK/EU core, up to 10% elsewhere) and a US category restriction (Fullsize-or-higher, 3–4 day minimum). The military offer-terms page instead says "all vehicle categories" and defers full terms to post-verification, so we don’t assert those specifics for the military offer — confirm them after you verify. • Reservations are by car category, not a specific model, and subject to availability.
