AutoZone Military & Veteran Discount
10% off in-store purchases for active-duty and retired service members across all U.S. branches — and their dependents — verified by showing a military ID at the register.
AutoZone gives active-duty and retired service members — across the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Space Force, Coast Guard, and the Army and Air National Guard — 10% off in-store purchases, and dependents are eligible too. Unlike many retailers, AutoZone doesn’t route you through ID.me or SheerID: you just tell an AutoZoner you qualify and show a military ID or another accepted official document at the register, and they apply the discount.
The one big limit: this is an in-store discount only. It does not work on AutoZone.com or in the AutoZone app, so save it for the counter. AutoZone may ask to see your documentation each time you use it, and some items may be excluded due to product availability or special pricing.
This is an independent guide to help you use the offer. We’re not affiliated with AutoZone, and AutoZone controls the terms and can change them at any time. Always confirm details on AutoZone’s official military discount page before you shop.

- Dependents are explicitly eligible; a DoD-issued dependent ID card (DD form 1173 or 1173-1) is accepted.

HOW TO REDEEM
Online at www.autozone.com
- Not available onlineThe AutoZone military discount is in-store only — it cannot be applied at autozone.com or in the app. Online shoppers should enroll in free AutoZone Rewards instead to earn credits on purchases.
In store
- Shop in person at a U.S. AutoZone storeThe military discount applies to in-store purchases only — it does not work on AutoZone.com or in the AutoZone App.
- Tell an AutoZoner you qualifyBefore the AutoZoner finalizes your order, say you qualify for the military discount.
- Show an accepted documentPresent a valid DoD ID, Uniformed Services ID, Veteran ID Card, Veteran Health ID Card, a veteran-designated state ID or driver’s license, a DD214, or a DoD dependent ID (DD form 1173 or 1173-1). AutoZone’s list is "not limited to" these.
- Get 10% offThe AutoZoner applies 10% off your eligible items at the register.
- Bring your ID each visitThis is not a one-time enrollment — AutoZone notes documentation may be requested for each purchase or discount application.
HOW IT WORKS
AutoZone runs a published corporate Military Discount Program — not store-manager discretion. Its official page states a flat 10% off in-store purchases for active or retired members of every U.S. branch, including the Space Force, the Army and Air National Guard, and the Coast Guard, and it explicitly extends eligibility to their dependents.
There is no third-party verifier and no account to create. In store, you state that you qualify and present a military ID or one of AutoZone’s accepted documents to an AutoZoner, who applies the discount at the point of sale. Accepted documents include a valid DoD ID, Uniformed Services ID, Veteran ID Card, Veteran Health ID Card, a state ID or driver’s license designating veteran status, a DD214, or a DoD dependent ID (DD form 1173 or 1173-1) — and the list is "not limited to" these.
Because the discount can’t be used online, online shoppers should lean on AutoZone Rewards (free) and AutoZone’s standard, open-to-everyone promo codes instead — the military rate simply doesn’t apply on AutoZone.com or in the app.
Exclusions & fine print
- In-store only. The discount does not apply to purchases on AutoZone.com or through the AutoZone App (explicit on the official page).
- AutoZone states "some restrictions may apply due to product availability or special pricing," but does not publish an itemized exclusion list — confirm eligible items at the register.
- Documentation may be requested for each purchase or discount application; it is not a one-time enrollment.
- AutoZone does not state whether the discount stacks with coupons, sale pricing, or AutoZone Rewards — do not assume it stacks; confirm in store.
- Per-order and annual caps, gift-card interactions, and return handling are not stated on the official page.
- Terms here reflect AutoZone stores in the United States; international AutoZone locations are not covered by this page.
