HOW IT WORKS

Academy uses ID.me to confirm identity and group affiliation. Online, you must sign in to a myAcademy account and complete ID.me verification; once verified, Academy automatically applies the current segment discount to your cart — there’s no code to enter. In store, you verify through ID.me to receive a barcode and present it with a valid Military or First Responder ID at the register.

The single most important caveat is that this offer is seasonal. If you’ve verified but don’t see a discount, the most likely reason per Academy’s own help page is that no promotion is currently running for your segment. Academy has historically run military windows around Memorial Day/summer and Veterans Day, so it’s worth watching for the next window; the current one ends July 4, 2026.

A note on accuracy: some aggregators describe Academy’s discount as a permanent "10% military discount" and at least one claims SheerID verification. Both are inaccurate per Academy’s official source — the discount is seasonal, and Academy names ID.me as the verification provider, not SheerID. Coupon sites advertising "25% off" codes are unrelated promo codes, not the military discount.
