HOW IT WORKS

Dell verifies eligibility through SheerID, a third-party verification service. You start verification from your Dell account’s membership section — not at general checkout: open the military discount program, click Verify, and complete the SheerID form, uploading documents if SheerID requests them. Verification is usually almost instant; if SheerID needs to review documents manually, it typically takes about 20 minutes in the U.S.

For verification problems (pending or failed), Dell directs you to SheerID’s Help Center. For discount or purchase issues on Dell.com after you’re verified, Dell directs you to its sales team via Contact Us.

Two things to watch. First, many aggregators present a flat "10% off" — Dell’s own page says "Save up to 10% extra," so treat 10% as a ceiling that varies by product, not a guaranteed rate. Second, some aggregators claim Reserve/National Guard members, spouses, dependents, and Gold Star families are eligible. Dell’s official Heroes page does not state this — it lists only active-duty, veterans, and retirees — so don’t assume those groups qualify without checking through SheerID.
