Walt Disney World Resort in Florida offers a seasonal "Disney Military Salute" each year with two separate deals for U.S. service members: deeply discounted multi-day theme park tickets at flat promotional prices, and percentage discounts (15%–30%) on rooms at many Disney Resort hotels. These are not everyday discounts and not a single percentage off — they are limited-time offers with specific dates, blockout periods, and purchase limits. For 2026, tickets and stays are valid January 1–December 18, 2026.

Eligibility is restricted to active or retired U.S. military (including National Guard, Reservists, Coast Guard, Space Force, and the PHS and NOAA Commissioned Corps), plus their spouses, who can present a valid and active U.S. Military ID. Disney checks military ID in person — when you buy, when you first activate a ticket, and at hotel check-in.

    Read eligible resorts, savings, ticket prices, dates, and full terms on Disney’s official 2026 Military Multi-Day Tickets and Military Hotel Discount pages. Salute tickets are not sold through a self-serve online checkout.
  2. Book a room by phone
    Call Disney at (407) 939-7830 to check availability and book a room with the military room offer.
  3. Present your ID at check-in
    Present a valid, active U.S. Military ID at check-in; the military member or spouse must stay in the room.

In store

  1. Buy Salute tickets in person
    Visit a participating U.S. military base ticket office, the Shades of Green Resort ticket office, or a Walt Disney World theme park ticket window, and present a valid, active U.S. Military ID (Eligible Service Member or spouse). No tax at a base office or Shades of Green; tax added at park windows.
  2. Activate the ticket
    Tickets are not valid until activated at a Walt Disney World park ticket window by the Eligible Service Member or spouse.
  3. Make advance park reservations
    Advance theme park reservations are required for every visit date — make them immediately after purchase (limited availability).
  4. Book a room by phone
    For the hotel offer, call (407) 939-7830 to check availability and book; present a valid, active U.S. Military ID at check-in, and the military member or spouse must stay in the room.

HOW IT WORKS

Disney does not use a third-party verification service (no ID.me, GovX, SheerID, or WeSalute) for this promotion. Verification is in person via a valid and active U.S. Military ID, checked at the point of purchase, again when the ticket is first activated at a park ticket window (which the Eligible Service Member or spouse must do), and at hotel check-in for the room offer. There is no online account flow.

Salute tickets are flat promotional prices rather than a percentage. Buying at a base ticket office or Shades of Green avoids sales tax (tickets bought at park windows add tax), and actual base prices may be lower than Disney’s published prices. You can also add a specially-priced Memory Maker (Disney PhotoPass) for $98, max 2 per eligible member or spouse, purchasable only at park ticket windows.

The room offer runs 15%–30% off depending on resort tier and season and can be combined only with the 2026 Kids Dining Plan Offer. Because these offers renew annually with new dates and pricing, re-check Disney’s official pages before you book — and note that Walt Disney World (Florida) is distinct from Disneyland (California), which runs its own military offers.

Exclusions & fine print

  • Tickets are valid for park entry only — no parking and no discounts on dining, merchandise, or other offerings.
  • Valid Jan 1–Dec 18, 2026; tickets expire and cannot be used after Dec 18, 2026. Blockout dates: March 29–April 11, 2026 and November 22–28, 2026.
  • Max 6 Salute tickets per Eligible Service Member or spouse (5 if they hold a valid Annual Pass); 1 of the 6 must be used by the member or spouse. Tickets are nontransferable, nonrefundable, and cannot be resold; each ticket must be used by the same person on all days.
  • Cannot be combined with other discounts or promotions (hotel-offer exception: combinable only with the 2026 Kids Dining Plan Offer).
  • Hotel offer has limited room allocation, requires a valid military ID at check-in with the member/spouse staying in the room, and excludes certain room types (e.g., Copper Creek Cabins; Polynesian Bungalows/Villas; suites; Club Level; 3-Bedroom Grand Villas).

Does Walt Disney World offer a military discount?

Yes. Walt Disney World runs an annual Disney Military Salute promotion with discounted multi-day theme park tickets and percentage savings on select Disney Resort hotel rooms. For 2026 the offer covers visits and stays January 1–December 18, 2026.

How much is the Walt Disney World military discount?

Tickets are flat promotional prices, not a percentage: for 2026, 4-Day from $409, 5-Day from $429, 6-Day from $449 (Park Hopper), with Park Hopper Plus adding $30. The Disney Celebrates America Military Salute Ticket is $499 (Hopper) or $529 (Hopper Plus). Hotel rooms are discounted 15%–30% depending on resort and season.

Do veterans, spouses, or dependents qualify?

Spouses qualify if they present a valid and active U.S. Military ID. Active and retired members qualify. Disney’s official eligibility lists "active or retired" military and specific Commissioned Corps — it does not name general veterans who are neither active nor retired. Dependents/children are not listed as independent buyers, but eligible members/spouses may buy tickets for use by family and friends.

How do I verify my military status?

In person, with a valid and active U.S. Military ID. Disney checks it at purchase, at first ticket activation at a park ticket window, and at hotel check-in. There is no online verification.

Does Walt Disney World use ID.me, GovX, SheerID, or WeSalute?

No. Disney’s military offers are verified by U.S. Military ID in person, not through any third-party verification service.

Can I buy these tickets in advance, and where?

Yes — at participating U.S. military base ticket offices, the Shades of Green Resort ticket office, or Walt Disney World theme park ticket windows. Tickets bought at a base office or Shades of Green are tax-free; those bought at park windows add tax.

What is excluded?

Tickets cover park entry only (no parking, dining, or merchandise discounts), can’t be combined with other discounts, are nonrefundable and nontransferable, and have blockout dates (March 29–April 11 and November 22–28, 2026). Park reservations are required, and there’s a 6-ticket cap per eligible member or spouse.

Can I combine it with other offers?

No for tickets. The hotel room offer cannot be combined with other discounts either, with one exception: it can be combined with the 2026 Kids Dining Plan Offer.

Does Walt Disney World offer a first responder, teacher, nurse, or student discount?

The Disney Military Salute is military-only. Disney does not publish a first responder, teacher, nurse, or student discount under this promotion. Florida Resident offers and general seasonal room offers are available to broader audiences.
