HOW IT WORKS

Verification is handled by ID.me, the same identity service used by the VA, the IRS, and many retailers. At checkout you select the ID.me option, sign in or create an account, and verify your military status (documents may be required). Birkenstock notes that if your ID.me community verification expires you must reverify through ID.me — community verifications are not permanent, so don’t treat a single check as forever.

The offer is online-only: Birkenstock states it "can only be redeemed at www.birkenstock.com/us," and there is no official in-store military discount. If a Birkenstock retail store offers anything, confirm it with that store — it is not part of the published offer.

Two things to watch. First, the discount is full-price only: 1774 styles and the Last Chance clearance section are excluded, so it’s an either/or between the 10% and a clearance price — take the lower. Second, ignore the inflated "25%" and "40%" Birkenstock military figures on coupon sites; they are not supported by Birkenstock’s own terms, which state 10%.
