Does Discovery Cove offer a military discount? Yes — but read this carefully, because it works differently from its sister parks. Through SeaWorld/United Parks’ Waves of Honor program, active-duty service members, reservists, National Guard, veterans and retirees get a discounted rate on Discovery Cove’s Day Resort Admission and Signature Dolphin Swim packages, for themselves plus up to 3 dependents or guests.

The key thing to know: at Discovery Cove the benefit is a discount, not free admission. Active-duty members get free one-day tickets to SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, Aquatica and Sesame Place, but Discovery Cove — an all-inclusive reservation experience — only offers a reduced price. Discovery Cove also does not publish the discount amount anywhere; the rate appears only after you verify your status through ID.me.

Because the military rate cannot be combined with public sales, our advice is simple: verify through ID.me to see your price, then compare it against Discovery Cove’s current public promotion and your base ITT/MWR ticket office — and book whichever is lowest for your date.

WHO QUALIFIES

Through SeaWorld/United Parks’ Waves of Honor program, active-duty members, reservists, National Guard, veterans and retirees get a discounted rate — not free admission — on Discovery Cove’s Day Resort Admission and Signature Dolphin Swim packages, verified free through ID.me. The amount is not published; it is shown only after you verify.

• Active-duty U.S. military, plus activated or drilling reservists and National Guard members — eligible for the active-duty tier, plus up to 3 direct dependents.
• Veterans and military retirees — eligible, plus up to 3 guests (limit 4 total); the veteran must be present with their guests at redemption.
• Military spouses and dependents — eligible only when booked under the service member’s or veteran’s own ID.me account, with the qualifying member present.
• Ineligible for the active-duty tier: inactive, standby and retired reserve members, U.S. Merchant Marine, and civilian Department of Defense employees.
• Verification is through ID.me (TroopID), and a valid physical military or veteran ID must still be presented at park reception.

HOW TO REDEEM

HOW IT WORKS

Discovery Cove’s military benefit is powered by ID.me (also branded TroopID), the same free identity-verification service used by the VA, the IRS, and many major retailers. You verify your active-duty, reserve/Guard, veteran or retiree status once online, and your personalized discounted rate is then revealed inside the booking flow. Verification is done online, not at the gate — but you must still present a valid physical military or veteran ID at park reception.

Because Discovery Cove publishes no military percentage or price, treat any specific figure you see quoted on coupon or listicle sites as unverified. Some of those pages also conflate Discovery Cove with SeaWorld’s free active-duty admission — that is inaccurate for Discovery Cove, where the Waves of Honor benefit is always a discount, never free entry. The only reliable way to learn your rate is to verify with ID.me and view it in the booking flow.

The Waves of Honor rate is standalone: it cannot be stacked with public promo codes, seasonal sitewide sales, AAA, Florida-resident, annual-pass, or reseller pricing. Discovery Cove regularly runs public seasonal deals (historically around 30% off, open to everyone) that frequently match or beat the hidden military rate and cover your whole party rather than just four people. Base ITT/MWR ticket offices often sell SeaWorld-family tickets below gate price as well, so the smart move is to compare all three and book the single lowest option for your travel date.

Every Discovery Cove package also bundles 14 consecutive days of admission to SeaWorld Orlando or Aquatica Orlando. That is not a military perk — it comes with every booking regardless of status — but it is real added value, and active-duty members can separately claim free SeaWorld, Busch Gardens and Aquatica admission through Waves of Honor at those parks.

Exclusions & fine print

• Not free admission — Discovery Cove offers only a discounted rate, unlike the free active-duty admission at SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, Aquatica and Sesame Place.
• No published discount amount — the rate is visible only after ID.me verification; any fixed percentage quoted on coupon sites is unverified.
• Hard party cap: 3 dependents (active duty) or 3 guests / 4 total (veterans), booked under the member’s own ID.me account.
• Not combinable with public promo codes, seasonal sitewide sales, AAA, Florida-resident, annual-pass, or reseller pricing — you pick one path per booking.
• The veteran offer is currently valid through December 31, 2026, and the program is subject to change or termination at any time.
• Active-duty tier excludes inactive, standby and retired reserve members, U.S. Merchant Marine, and civilian DoD employees.
• Not sold through GovX or the military exchange (AAFES/NEX) webstores.
