Toyota Military & Veteran Discount
A $500 Military Rebate toward a new Toyota for eligible service members, veterans, and family — verified via ID.me (or dealer proof in AL, FL, GA, NC, SC).
Toyota gives eligible service members and veterans a $500 Military Rebate toward a new Toyota when they buy or lease through Toyota’s financing. It is not a coupon or a percentage off the sticker — it is a $500 rebate applied at the dealership to your down payment (if you finance) or to the amount due at signing (if you lease), and it requires credit approval through Toyota Financial Services. Active-duty members, inactive reservists, retirees, veterans within two years of discharge, and their household and Gold Star family members can qualify.
How you prove eligibility depends on where you live. Most of the country uses Toyota’s ID.me verification, but five Southeast states (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina) are served by a separate Southeast Toyota Finance $500 Military Rebate where you show proof of service directly to the dealer.
This is an independent guide from NavyWeek to help you understand the offer. We are not affiliated with Toyota, and Toyota controls the program and can change its terms at any time — always confirm current details with your local Toyota dealer before you sign.

HOW IT WORKS
For the nationwide program, Toyota uses ID.me to confirm military status online before you finalize at the dealer; ID.me re-verification frequency is governed by ID.me, not stated on Toyota’s page. In the five Southeast states (AL, FL, GA, NC, SC), ID.me is not used — instead you present verifiable proof of service directly to your Toyota dealer, and Southeast Toyota Finance administers the rebate. In all cases the rebate is contingent on credit approval from the financing arm.
Acceptable proof documents named in Toyota’s program materials include a Leave and Earning Statement, Military ID card, or DD Form 214 (Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty). Because the $500 is a fixed rebate, negotiate the out-the-door price and APR independently so the rebate is genuinely additive.
Toyota runs a separate $500 College Graduate Rebate for eligible recent or upcoming grads (not combinable with the Military Rebate nationally). Several other automakers run military appreciation or bonus-cash programs — confirm current competitor amounts directly with those brands before deciding.
Exclusions & fine print
- New vehicles only, taken from dealer stock; the rebate is tied to a finance or lease contract through TFS/SETF (not a cash-buyer discount) and requires credit approval and qualifying income.
- Combinability varies by region: SETF says it "may be combined with some other special offers," while Toyota’s older national terms state it is not combinable with the College Graduate Rebate, iFi, and Lease-End Refi programs — confirm with the dealer.
- SETF term limits: maximum 75 months (standard retail installment), 72 months (special APR), 48 months (lease). A "limit one rebate per transaction" appears in Toyota’s 2021 national terms but is not restated on the current landing page — confirm before relying on it.
- AL, FL, GA, NC, SC run through SETF (offer ends Jan 4, 2027); Hawaii availability is not confirmed in current sources. Must pay sales tax; not redeemable for cash; void where prohibited.
