HOW IT WORKS
Verification is handled by SheerID, not L.L.Bean directly. You submit basic personal info and, if not instantly verified, upload official government-issued documentation showing your first name, last name, branch of service, and current military status. SheerID matches the document against your form entry, so enter your name exactly as it appears on the document. If your last name changed since the document was issued, upload an additional government ID showing your current name.
Once verified, you get a code valid for five uses; re-verify after five uses or if you lose the code, and eligible individuals may receive up to 3 verification codes every 30 days. The offer terms currently state it is valid until August 24, 2026 — historically L.L.Bean renews these windows, but treat it as a dated/renewable promotion and re-verify after that date.
Because the discount excludes so many name brands, it functionally applies to L.L.Bean’s own-label products; for excluded gear, L.L.Bean’s frequent sales and Outlet pricing often beat the 10%. L.L.Bean also runs separate 10% SheerID offers for first responders, medical professionals, and students/teachers.

- A long list of third-party brands is excluded — including HOKA, Yeti, Birkenstock, Darn Tough, Garmin, SmartWool, Stanley, On, New Balance, Salomon, Vortex, Brooks, Keen, Teva, Thule, and many more — so the discount applies mainly to L.L.Bean’s own-label products.
