Disney Tickets Military Discount (Disney Military Salute 2026)
Fixed-price Military Salute tickets for active-duty and retired service members and their spouses — not an all-veterans discount.
Yes — Disney offers a genuine, deep military ticket discount through the Disney Military Salute at Walt Disney World and the Military Promotional Tickets at Disneyland Resort. For 2026, eligible members can buy discounted multi-day Park Hopper tickets (WDW 4-, 5-, and 6-day; Disneyland 1-, 3-, and 4-day) plus a special year-long "Disney Celebrates America" ticket at $499 + tax for the America 250th anniversary. These are fixed-price tickets, not a percentage off, and they beat standard Disney gate pricing by a wide margin.
The most important thing to know: this is not an all-veterans discount. Disney limits it to active-duty and retired U.S. service members (including Guard, Reservists, Coast Guard, Space Force, and the PHS and NOAA commissioned corps) and their spouses, each of whom must show a valid, active military ID. A veteran who separated without retiring does not qualify.
This is an independent guide. NavyWeek is not affiliated with Disney; Disney sets and can change these terms at any time. We link to Disney’s official offer pages so you can confirm current pricing and rules before you buy.

WHO QUALIFIES
Disney sells fixed-price Military Salute tickets to active-duty and retired U.S. service members and their spouses — for 2026 that means discounted multi-day Park Hopper tickets at Walt Disney World and Disneyland plus a $499 year-long ticket, verified with a valid military ID (or GovX ID for online GovX orders).
- Active-duty U.S. service members across all branches — Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Space Force — with a valid, active military ID.
- Military retirees who hold a retiree Uniformed Services ID.
- Current National Guard and Reserve members.
- Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service (PHS) and NOAA.
- Spouses of eligible members — the member OR the spouse (not both) may purchase and activate the tickets, with a valid active military ID.
- NOT eligible: ordinary veterans who separated without formally retiring (a DD-214 but no retiree ID does not qualify).
- NOT eligible on their own: non-spouse dependents and children cannot purchase or activate the tickets — the member or spouse must, and at least one ticket in the purchase must be used by the member or spouse.

HOW TO REDEEM
Online at disneyworld.disney.go.com
- Buy Walt Disney World Salute tickets onlinePurchase the WDW Military Salute multi-day Park Hopper tickets (or the $499 year ticket) on Disney’s official 2026 military offer page. The eligible member or spouse must have a valid active or retired military ID.
- Or buy online through GovXGovX sells the Disney military tickets online at the same Salute price. Create a free GovX ID and verify your military status once; GovX may add a modest handling step. Disney’s in-person ID and activation rules still apply.
- Activate at Walt Disney WorldWDW tickets are NOT valid until activated by the member or spouse at a Walt Disney World theme-park ticket window — bring your valid active military ID.
- Make advance park reservationsA same-day advance park reservation is required at both resorts and is subject to availability. Watch the WDW blockout dates before booking.
In store
- Bring a valid military IDThe eligible member or spouse presents a valid, active or retired U.S. military (Uniformed Services) ID at the point of purchase.
- Buy at a base ticket office or Shades of GreenPurchase up to 6 Salute tickets (5 if you hold an Annual Pass or Magic Key) at a participating military base ticket office (ITT/LTS) or at Shades of Green, Disney’s Armed Forces Recreation Center resort at WDW.
- Activate before first use (WDW)At Walt Disney World, the tickets must be activated by the member or spouse at a park ticket window before first use. Disneyland tickets do not require this activation step but still need park reservations.
HOW IT WORKS
The single best path for an eligible member is simply buying the Salute ticket itself. The price is fixed and the same across every channel — Disney directly, participating military base ticket offices (ITT/LTS), Shades of Green, and GovX — so the only real decision is which channel is most convenient, not which is cheapest. Buying through a base office or Shades of Green avoids any online handling fee and gets you in-person help; GovX is the online option when a base office is not convenient.
At Walt Disney World there is a mandatory activation step: the tickets are not valid until the member or spouse activates them at a theme-park ticket window with a valid military ID. Plan for the eligible person to be present on arrival. Advance park reservations are required at both resorts and are subject to availability, and the WDW offer carries 2026 blockout windows (March 29–April 11 and November 22–November 28). Disneyland has no 2026 blockout dates.
Choose the product that fits your trip length. For a single WDW trip, the 4-, 5-, or 6-Day Salute Park Hopper is cheapest up front; the $499 "Disney Celebrates America" year ticket wins only if you will do many park days across 2026. For a Disneyland trip, the 3- or 4-Day Park Hopper military ticket is the pick, with the Lightning Lane Multi Pass version costing more if you value skip-the-line access.
If you are not active-duty or a military retiree (for example, an ordinary veteran with only a DD-214, or a civilian), you do not qualify for the Salute ticket. Your real savings then come from standard public routes: buy tickets only for the days you need, watch for Disney’s public multi-day promotions, use authorized resellers and cashback portals on standard tickets, and consider Costco Travel packages. Disney’s separate military room discount can also stack with the ticket deal for a cheaper overall trip.
Exclusions & fine print
- Tickets do not include parking and carry no discount on dining, merchandise, or other offerings, and are not Annual Passes.
- Cannot be combined with any other ticket discount or promotion; there is no promo code — the Salute ticket is already the discounted product.
- Ticket caps: WDW allows up to 6 tickets per member/spouse per year (5 if an Annual Passholder); Disneyland allows up to 6 for 3-/4-day tickets (5 for Magic Key holders). The member and spouse cannot each buy the maximum.
- At least one ticket in the purchase must be used by the eligible member or spouse.
- WDW 2026 blockout dates: March 29–April 11 and November 22–November 28; tickets valid January 1–December 18, 2026. Disneyland has no 2026 blockout dates (park reservations still required).
- Tickets are non-transferable and may not be sold for commercial purposes.
- Disney does not use ID.me or SheerID for this program; ignore third-party "Disney military promo codes," which do not apply to the Salute ticket.
