The important caveat: the 10% is a one-time, non-stackable offer. It can’t be combined with Zales’s "Buy More Save More" deals or other coupons, and it excludes a long list of items — all watches, clearance, pre-owned and custom pieces, loose stones, gift cards, repairs, and several designer collections. Because Zales runs frequent, deep sales (up to 50% seasonal events, up to 60% clearance, tiered "spend more save more" offers), a live sale often beats the 10% — and since they don’t stack, you take whichever is bigger.

You verify once through ID.me as active duty, Guard/Reserve, veteran, retiree, spouse, or eligible dependent, typically with a military ID, Veterans ID, or DD214. Zales notes that ID.me is a third-party site with its own privacy policy and terms. After you’re verified, you receive a one-time code to redeem online, or you can show your ID.me verification to redeem in-store.

Watch the fine print, because it decides the winner. The 10% is a single-use code that can’t be combined with Buy More Save More or any other offer, and it excludes clearance, all watches, pre-owned, custom, loose stones, and several designer lines. Zales runs frequent deep sales — up to 50% seasonal "Summer Steals" events, up to 60% off select clearance, and tiered "spend more save more" offers — and those are exactly where the 10% doesn’t apply or is beaten. Since the discount and the sale don’t stack, compare them and take whichever is bigger.

One correction to watch for: some coupon and aggregator sites frame the offer as "up to 10%," imply it stacks with sales, or quote a 4% Rakuten cash-back rate. As of July 6, 2026, the rate is a flat 10% (not "up to"), it is explicitly non-stackable, and live Rakuten shows 2% at zales.com, not 4%. No credible source shows Zales carrying its discount through GovX — the mechanic is ID.me.
