Ring Military & Veteran Discount
Ring’s Give-Back program gives military members and veterans 20% off select products — verified via VerifyPass, redeemed online with a one-time code. Here’s the fine print.
Ring runs a Give-Back discount program that gives 20% off select Ring products to military members and veterans, along with first responders, government employees, medical workers, teachers, and students. You confirm your status through VerifyPass, then receive a one-time discount code to use at checkout on Ring.com.
The discount is US-only and applies to online purchases on Ring.com. It excludes product bundles and items already on sale or "offer," can’t be combined with other discounts or sales events, and can’t be applied to past orders. Shipping and taxes still apply.
This is an independent guide. We’re not affiliated with Ring or VerifyPass, and Ring sets and can change all terms at any time. Always confirm current details on Ring’s own Give-Back page before you buy.

WHO QUALIFIES
Ring runs a Give-Back discount program that gives 20% off select Ring products to military members and veterans — along with first responders, government employees, medical workers, teachers, and students. You confirm your status through VerifyPass (not ID.me or GovX), then receive a one-time discount code to use at checkout on Ring.com. The discount is US-only and online-only, excludes bundles and items already on sale/offer, can’t be combined with other discounts or sales events, and can’t be applied retroactively. Because it doesn’t stack and isn’t valid during sales, a Ring sale price can sometimes beat 20% — compare before you redeem.
- Military (active duty) and veterans — eligible under Ring’s "Military and Veterans" Give-Back offer, verified via VerifyPass.
- Reserve / National Guard, retirees, military spouses, and dependents — not separately listed on Ring’s pages; eligibility for these sub-groups is determined inside the VerifyPass military verification flow, so confirm there. (Some aggregators wrongly claim Guard/Reserve are excluded — Ring’s own sources do not say this.)
- First responders and government employees — eligible under Ring’s combined "First Responder & Government" offer.
- Medical / healthcare workers, teachers, and students — each eligible under their own Give-Back offer, verified via VerifyPass.
- United States only. Online purchases on Ring.com only.
| Audience | Discount |
|---|---|
| Military & veterans (and other Give-Back groups)Verified via VerifyPass; a one-time code entered at checkout on Ring.com. Excludes bundles and items already on sale; can’t be combined with other discounts. | 20% off select products |
| Ring subscribers (separate, not stackable)After buying a Ring subscription (Ring Home/Protect), a 10% discount activates on your next login. It can’t be used in the same transaction as the subscription and can’t be combined with the 20% Give-Back discount. | 10% off eligible products |
HOW TO REDEEM
Online at ring.com
- Verify through VerifyPass to get a codeGo to ring.com/give-back and choose your group (e.g., Military and Veterans). Sign in to VerifyPass and confirm your status. On success you receive a one-time discount code. You can request a new code at most once every 24 hours.
- Enter the code at checkout on Ring.comAdd eligible Ring products to your cart, then enter the code in the "Discount Code" field at checkout. If a code won’t apply, try while signed out of your Ring account. The 20% applies to eligible items only.
- Compare against current Ring sales firstThe code can’t stack and isn’t valid during sales events, and Ring advertises sitewide savings up to 50% at times. Check ring.com’s current offers before redeeming — a sale price may beat 20% on some items.
In store
- No in-store redemptionRing documents the Give-Back discount for online purchases at Ring.com only — a one-time code entered at checkout. No in-store or register redemption is stated. (A third-party claim of "participating retail locations" is unverified.)
HOW IT WORKS
The mechanic is the thing to get right. Ring verifies through VerifyPass — not ID.me, GovX, or SheerID. You start on ring.com/give-back, pick your group, and confirm your status in the VerifyPass widget. When it clears, you get a single-use code for one order; there’s no permanent account-level discount, and you can request a fresh code no more than once every 24 hours. VerifyPass notes codes are "subject to ID verification in our sole discretion." If verification fails, use VerifyPass’s support flow inside the widget; for checkout problems, use Ring Help.
On eligibility, Ring is precise about the headline groups but vague about the edges. Its pages name "military and veterans," first responders, government employees, healthcare workers, teachers, and students — all at 20%. What Ring does not spell out on its own pages is whether Reserve/National Guard, retirees, military spouses, or dependents qualify; those determinations happen inside the VerifyPass military verification flow. Aggregator sites contradict each other on this (one claims Guard/Reserve are excluded; another says included), and none is authoritative — so the honest answer is to run the VerifyPass check and see which categories it accepts.
The exclusions are where the real money math lives. The 20% code applies only to eligible products, and it excludes bundles and anything already on sale. Crucially, it can’t be combined with other discounts and is "not valid during sales events" — so during a Black Friday or Cyber Monday event, the code simply won’t work, and Ring’s advertised sitewide savings (up to 50% at times) can beat 20% on specific devices. It also can’t be stacked with the separate 10% subscriber discount, can’t be applied to subscriptions or Ring Assist+, and can’t be used retroactively. Free shipping and free returns on US orders apply to everyone regardless. Bottom line: verify, but check the current sale price on your exact device before you spend the code.
Exclusions & fine print
- Valid only on eligible Ring products (Ring maintains the eligible-products collection, which can change).
- Excludes product bundles and items already on sale/"offers."
- Cannot be applied to Ring subscription services (Ring Home/Protect), Ring Assist+, or third-party devices.
- Cannot be combined with other offers — including the 10% subscriber discount and sales events like Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
- Not valid during sales events and cannot be applied to past purchases. Shipping and taxes still apply.
- One code per person; limit 1 code per 24 hours; one use per customer. United States only.

All military & veteran discountsEditorial policy
- Source priority. We cite Ring’s own Help article, Ring’s Give-Back page, and the VerifyPass Ring offers page: 20% off select products, verified via VerifyPass, US-only, online-only, with a one-time single-use code (limit 1 per 24h). Ring names only "military and veterans" — sub-groups like Reserve/National Guard, retirees, spouses, and dependents are NOT enumerated on Ring’s pages and are determined inside the VerifyPass military verification flow (aggregators contradict each other, so we don’t assert those flags). The discount can’t combine with the 10% subscriber discount or sales events and isn’t retroactive — so a sitewide Ring sale may sometimes beat 20%; shoppers should compare. A third-party claim of in-store redemption is unverified and excluded — Ring documents online-only.
