Two things to know before you buy: the code can’t be combined with any other promotion, and it won’t apply to Limited Edition, Last Season, or gift-card items. So on a current-season pair, 15% off is your best path — but if you’re flexible on colorway, a public Last Season markdown can sometimes beat it (the code just won’t work on those).

HOW IT WORKS

On verifies eligibility exclusively through ID.me, the same identity service used by the VA, the IRS, and many major retailers. You create a free ID.me account and confirm your community — military (active duty, Reserve/Guard, veteran, or retired), or one of the nurse, medical provider, first responder, teacher, or student groups. ID.me confirms your status and issues a one-time code back to you; On never sees your ID documents.

The discount is online only. There is no in-store verification path — the single-use code works on On.com or the On app, not in On retail stores. Each code is valid for 30 days, and you can request up to two codes per calendar month, so plan multi-item buys accordingly and keep each order at or under the $575 USD ($800 CAD) cap.

One thing to watch: coupon and aggregator pages headline "On Cloud military discount — up to 50% off" or "60% off with promo code." That is false framing. On’s military discount is a flat 15% via ID.me and cannot stack with any sale; the "up to 50/60%" figures are generic clearance and coupon-site noise, not a military rate. The only legitimate code is the single-use one ID.me issues after you verify. Some listings also still show a 10% figure — that is stale; the current stated offer is 15%.
