Sony Military & Veteran Discount
Up to 10% off Sony electronics for military and veterans — verified free through ID.me, and it stacks on sale prices. PlayStation is not included.
Sony offers a real military and veteran discount on its own store, electronics.sony.com, verified through ID.me. It is part of Sony’s "Special Group Offers" program, which also covers nurses, first responders, teachers, medical providers, and students. On Sony’s ID.me partner page the offer is listed as up to 10% off for military — and the best part is that on eligible items it stacks on top of the current sale price, so on a marked-down flagship you get a second markdown.
Two things to know before you count on it. First, it is electronics only — TVs, cameras, headphones and earbuds, audio. PlayStation consoles, games, and PlayStation Plus have no official military discount. Second, it is an "up to" discount applied per item: some products are excluded and simply show the regular price, so verify your specific item in the cart after you sign in with ID.me.
This is an independent guide — we’re not affiliated with Sony or ID.me, and terms and prices change at any time. Always confirm on electronics.sony.com before you buy.

HOW TO REDEEM
Online at electronics.sony.com
- Add an eligible Sony product to your cartShop electronics.sony.com — TVs, cameras, headphones and earbuds, audio — and add an eligible product to your cart.
- Select "Verify with ID.me" at checkoutAt checkout, choose the "Verify with ID.me" option to start verification.
- Verify your military statusSign in to — or create — a free ID.me account and confirm your military status (uploading documentation if prompted).
- Apply your up-to-10% discountOnce validated, the up-to-10% group discount applies to eligible items — on top of any current sale price. Confirm the discounted price in your cart; if the item still shows the regular price, it is not eligible.
- Re-verify on future ordersVerification is per transaction, so you confirm again with ID.me each time you check out — though you do not re-upload documents once your ID.me status is established.
HOW IT WORKS
Sony verifies eligibility through ID.me, the same identity service used by the VA, the IRS, and many major retailers. You create a free ID.me account, verify your service status (uploading documentation if prompted), and then confirm at Sony’s checkout with the "Verify with ID.me" button. Verification is per transaction, so you’ll confirm again on future orders, but you don’t re-upload documents each time once your ID.me status is established. Sony does not use GovX or SheerID for this offer.
The strongest feature of the offer is that the group discount stacks on the current sale price on eligible items — so buying eligible Sony electronics during a sale (Black Friday and Cyber Monday are deepest) means the up-to-10% comes off the already-reduced price. It generally cannot be combined with other promo codes or coupons, and per-item eligibility gates everything: non-eligible SKUs show the regular price with no discount.
Two things to watch. First, many coupon and aggregator pages advertise an "up to 15%" Sony military discount. That figure is not confirmed on Sony’s or ID.me’s primary listing, which says up to 10% — treat 10% as the verified ceiling and 15% as unconfirmed. Second, the discount is for Sony electronics only: PlayStation Direct has no official military discount on consoles, games, or PlayStation Plus. For PlayStation, the levers are seasonal PS Store sales and discounted gift cards, not a military rate.
Exclusions & fine print
- The discount is "up to" 10% and applied per item — many SKUs are excluded and simply show the regular price, so confirm your specific item in-cart after verifying.
- PlayStation Direct is excluded — there is no military discount on PlayStation consoles, games, or PlayStation Plus.
- Not combinable with other promo codes, coupons, or special offers unless Sony says so — though it does stack on the current sale price on eligible items.
- The offer is on electronics.sony.com; Sony states it is not eligible for price matching at other retailers.
- Verification is required every transaction via ID.me.
- Prices are dynamic; confirm the exact discounted price in-cart after ID.me verification.
