Volkswagen’s Military and First Responders Bonus puts a flat $500 toward the lease or finance of a new VW. Eligibility is broad — active duty, veterans within 24 months of discharge, retirees, first responders, and their household family members — and it stacks on top of other current VW offers.

HOW IT WORKS
The $500 is explicitly offered in addition to other current VW discounts/programs (restrictions may apply) — treat it as additive, not exclusive. It is one bonus per VIN, and an eligible customer can use it on up to two VW vehicles per year.
Verification is handled at the dealership via the signed Military & First Responder Claim Form plus your documentation — there is no third-party (ID.me/GovX/SheerID) portal. Keep your LES or Military ID (or department ID) and proof of household residency (if applicable) on hand.
The bonus is not redeemable for cash and is not valid on Fleet or Dealership Sale vehicles; certain performance models such as the Golf R are excluded. The program is renewed in a rolling annual window (the last published cycle ran Jan 3, 2025 – Jan 5, 2026), so confirm the current dated program with a dealer.
