Red Robin Military & Veteran Discount
No everyday military discount — but veterans and active-duty get a free Red’s Big Tavern Burger + bottomless side on Veterans Day, and the free Red Robin Royalty program is the real everyday value.
Red Robin does not offer an everyday, year-round percentage discount for military or veterans — so ignore any "flat 10–20% off for vets" you see on coupon sites. What Red Robin does run is a genuine, long-standing Veterans Day promotion: a free Red’s Big Tavern Burger with a bottomless side, dine-in, for veterans and active-duty service members who show proof of service on November 11.
The rest of the year, your real savings come from the free Red Robin Royalty program — you earn a point per dollar (100 points = a $10 reward), get a free appetizer when you join, and a birthday treat — plus whatever public app or email deals are live. Military-editorial sites also report a 15% Royalty-member discount during July, but that is not published on Red Robin’s own site, so confirm it at your location before counting on it.
This is an independent guide — we’re not affiliated with Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, Inc. Most Red Robins are franchised, every offer is "at participating locations," and Red Robin can change or end any program at any time.

WHO QUALIFIES
Red Robin does not offer an everyday, year-round percentage military discount — ignore any "flat 10–20% off for vets" you see on coupon sites. Its confirmed military benefit is the annual Veterans Day free burger (a free Red’s Big Tavern Burger with a bottomless side, dine-in, Nov 11, for veterans and active-duty with proof of service). The rest of the year, the free Red Robin Royalty program is the real value; military-editorial sites also report a 15% Royalty-member discount in July, but that’s not on Red Robin’s own site — confirm locally.
- Active-duty military — eligible for the Veterans Day free burger (dine-in, proof of service); reported July 15% via Royalty.
- Veterans — eligible for the Veterans Day free Red’s Big Tavern Burger + bottomless side with proof of service.
- Military retirees — covered as veterans/active-duty with a valid military ID for Veterans Day.
- Reserve and National Guard — not separately addressed; bring a military ID and confirm at your location.
- Military spouses and dependents — not included in the Veterans Day free-burger offer (veterans and active-duty only); anyone can join Red Robin Royalty.
- First responders, teachers, nurses, and students — no published Red Robin discount for these groups.

HOW IT WORKS
The one brand-confirmed military benefit is the Veterans Day free burger. Red Robin’s own 2025 terms say the offer is valid exclusively on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, dine-in only, with proof of service required (a valid military ID), for veterans and active-duty. It’s a single Red’s Big Tavern Burger with a bottomless side, with no modifications or alternative Tavern Burger styles, and it is explicitly not valid with other offers, including Red Robin Royalty rewards. The burger name has shifted over the years — a Red’s Tavern Double (two patties) in 2021–2022, and the single Red’s Big Tavern Burger from about 2023 on.
The July 15% figure is real in the sense that reputable military-editorial sites (Military.com, MyMilitaryBenefits) report it consistently as an in-store discount for Red Robin Royalty members during July — but it is not published on Red Robin’s own site or newsroom, so we present it as editorial-reported, not brand-official. Coupon aggregators separately advertise generic public promo codes near the word "military"; those are ordinary coupons, not a military discount.
For everyday value, the free Red Robin Royalty program is the real play: 1 point per $1 (roughly 10% back as rewards, since 100 points = a $10 reward on $100 spent), a free welcome appetizer, a birthday treat, and member-only deals. There is no everyday military rate, so the loyalty program plus current public app or email deals is how service members and civilians alike save the rest of the year.
Exclusions & fine print
- There is no everyday, year-round percentage military discount at Red Robin — "flat 10–20% off for vets" on coupon sites is not a Red Robin offer.
- Veterans Day: dine-in only, Nov 11 only, proof of service required; no modifications or other Tavern Burger styles; not valid with other offers or Red Robin Royalty rewards; substitutions and premium sides cost extra; participating locations only.
- The reported July 15% is editorial-reported, in-store, for Royalty members — not on Red Robin’s site; assume non-combinable and confirm locally.
- Red Robin Royalty: the welcome appetizer needs a $10 minimum; perks are per participating location; comped items (like a free Veterans Day burger) don’t earn points.
- Spouses and dependents are not listed in the Veterans Day free-burger offer.
- There is no ID.me, SheerID, or GovX verification — a valid military ID is shown in person, and franchise staff make the final call on any military perk.

- Source priority. We cite Red Robin’s own Veterans Day page and newsroom first, which confirm only the annual Nov 11 free Red’s Big Tavern Burger + bottomless side for veterans and active-duty with proof of service. We do NOT assert an everyday percentage: Red Robin publishes none. The "15% in July for Royalty members" is reported by military-editorial sites but does not appear on Red Robin’s own site, so we flag it as editorial-reported and tell you to confirm at your location. Most Red Robins are franchised, so every offer is at participating locations.
- Independence. NavyWeek.org is not affiliated with the U.S. Navy, the Department of Defense, NAVCO, or any federal agency. We do not accept payment to recommend specific recruiters, schools, vendors, or services.
- Review cadence. Because Red Robin can change these terms at any time, the offer is re-verified against the official page on a recurring basis and whenever a reader reports a change.
- Reviewer. The page is reviewed for accuracy by the reviewer named in the byline. The "Last reviewed" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent review pass.
