Norwegian Cruise Line Military & Veteran Discount
10% off cruise fare year-round (20% on select sailings) — verified free through ID.me, stackable with More at Sea™.
Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) offers a genuine military discount: 10% off the cruise fare of any sailing, all year long, through its Military Appreciation Program. You verify once through ID.me — about five minutes — and from then on the 10% shows up automatically in the price whenever you’re logged in to My NCL. There’s no promo code; it’s tied to your verified account. The program covers active service members, veterans, and their spouses and surviving spouses across the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Space Force, National Guard, NOAA Corps, and U.S. Public Health Service (and, since 2024, the Canadian Armed Forces).
Here’s what makes NCL better than most cruise-line military rates: the 10% combines with NCL’s More at Sea™ promo, and a good military-focused travel agency can add its own onboard credit on top of the military rate. NCL also periodically bumps the deal to 20% off select sailings — its Military Appreciation Month bonus — and in 2026 let verified members extend that 20% to companion cabins. Ignore the coupon sites selling "NCL military promo codes" — there is no code, and the only verification partner is ID.me.
This is an independent guide — we’re not affiliated with Norwegian Cruise Line or ID.me, and terms can change at any time.

HOW TO REDEEM
Online at www.ncl.com
- Log in or create a My NCL accountGo to ncl.com/cruise-deals/military and sign in to (or register) My NCL.
- Verify through ID.meAn ID.me window pops up; confirm your status (a .mil email or DD214 works). It’s a one-time, ~5-minute check.
- See your discounted fare — no codeReturn to ncl.com logged in and displayed prices now include your 10% off the cruise fare. There is no promo code to enter.
- Book online or through a travel advisorBook online, or hand your My NCL/Latitudes number to a travel advisor who can add their own onboard credit on top of the military rate.
HOW IT WORKS
NCL verifies eligibility through ID.me, its named third-party partner. You create/log in to My NCL, complete a one-time ID.me check (~5 minutes; documents like a .mil email or DD214), and your account is flagged — the 10% then applies automatically whenever you’re logged in. There is no ID.me code to paste, and no GovX, SheerID, or WeSalute path for NCL.
The military rate combines with More at Sea™ (formerly Free at Sea), which is unusual among cruise-line military discounts. A travel advisor can also layer their own group onboard credit and reduced deposit on top by booking under your My NCL/Latitudes number — that agency perk isn’t an NCL discount, so it doesn’t conflict.
The year-round floor is 10% off cruise fare; the "up to 20%" figure some listings quote reflects the select-sailing bump, not a guaranteed everyday rate. No path waives the taxes, port fees, or gratuities — every percentage applies to the cruise fare portion alone.
Exclusions & fine print
- The percentage applies to the cruise fare portion only — taxes, port fees, and gratuities are separate and never discounted.
- The 10% is limited to one stateroom per verified member per sailing (a 2026 offer added a companion-cabin extension in select windows).
- The 10% and the 20% don’t add together — the 20% is a replacement rate on select sailings, not a stack.
- Military, first-responder, and teacher tiers are mutually exclusive — book under one. "Some exclusions may apply" per NCL.
