HOW IT WORKS
PING sells through a dealer network rather than a discounted direct checkout, so there is no “military price” to select online. The benefit is post-purchase: you pay the dealer’s price, then claim a fixed-dollar rebate per eligible club. The rebate attaches to the purchase and pays back as a virtual prepaid card mailed 6–8 weeks later.
Verification runs through ID.me at the rebate step — the same identity service used by the VA and many major retailers. There is no permanent account discount and no GovX or SheerID path for this program; you verify per claim, then complete the rebate form. Eligible groups are Active, Active Reserve, Retirees (and spouses), and honorably discharged veterans across all six services, including Space Force.
Because the rebate is fixed-dollar and modest, the biggest savings often come from where and how you buy rather than the rebate itself. A PING Trade-In / Move-Up credit for old clubs frequently beats the flat rebate; prior-generation or certified-used PING can run well below new (though it isn’t rebate-eligible); and if your on-base pro shop is an authorized PING dealer, a tax-free purchase can rival the rebate. The rebate does sit on top of a dealer’s own sale price, so a dealer markdown plus the rebate is the best new-club combo.
Aggregator sites sometimes advertise a flat “PING military discount up to 10–25% off” or a coupon code. PING publishes no percentage-off military discount and no checkout code — the only official military benefit is the fixed-dollar rebate above, claimed after a full-price authorized-dealer purchase.
Exclusions & fine print
