Volvo Military & Veteran Discount
A flat $500 affinity bonus on a new or Certified by Volvo — for active-duty, Reservists, National Guard, and veterans, verified through ID.me and stacked on public offers.
Volvo runs an official US Military Affinity program worth a $500 bonus on the purchase or lease of a new Volvo — and $500 on a Certified by Volvo vehicle too. It’s open to active-duty, Reservists, National Guard, and Veterans, verified through ID.me, and it’s built to stack on top of Volvo’s public national offers.
You verify, create a Volvo PIN, and take delivery within 90 days; the dealer applies the bonus at signing. On a $46,000 car the $500 is a nice add-on — the real savings still come from negotiation and current national incentives, with this bonus riding on top.
This is an independent guide. We’re not affiliated with Volvo Car USA, and Volvo controls the terms and can change the bonus amount or eligibility at any time. Always confirm current terms on Volvo’s Affinity page before you buy.

- Create your Volvo PINGenerate a Volvo PIN (one per vehicle; limit two per participant per year). The PIN is tied to your legal home address.

In store
- Bring your PIN to the Volvo dealerPresent your ID.me-verified Volvo PIN and documentation to the dealer.
- Bonus applied at signingThe dealer applies the $500 affinity bonus at signing, on top of most public national offers. Some dealers are unfamiliar with the program — bring the PIN paperwork.
HOW IT WORKS
Verification is handled by ID.me — the same identity provider Volvo uses across its affinity tiers (healthcare, first responder, teacher). After you verify, Volvo issues a PIN tied to your address, and the dealer redeems it. The PIN is time-boxed to a 90-day delivery window, so generate it close to when you’ll actually buy, and note the limit of one PIN per vehicle and two PINs per participant per year.
The $500 is a flat affinity bonus, not a percentage off MSRP. Unlike a "can’t combine" retail coupon, it’s designed to combine with most publicly advertised Volvo national offers, and the dealer applies it at signing. If you also qualify for another affinity group — healthcare, first responder, or teacher — compare which bonus is larger, because you generally use only one affinity PIN per deal.
On a roughly $46,000 vehicle, the $500 is meaningful but small next to the real levers: negotiating the vehicle price and timing your purchase to strong national APR, lease, or cash offers (model-year closeout in summer and fall is often best). Do that first, then add the $500 military bonus on top. Some directory pages imply a percentage-based "Volvo military discount" — that is unverified; the confirmed benefit is the flat $500.
Exclusions & fine print
- US only; not compatible with special US Military Overseas pricing.
- One PIN per vehicle; limit two PINs per participant per year.
- New retail delivery required within 90 days of PIN creation.
- The buyer/lessee and PIN participant’s legal home address must match the contract.
- Generally one affinity program per deal — you can’t also claim the Healthcare or Teacher bonus on the same car; pick the larger.
