Approximately 75 Sailors representing a dozen Navy units; U.S. Fleet Forces Band — public performances; Educational/youth programming at Discovery Place science museum; USS Charlotte (SSN-766) — Los Angeles-class submarine (4th Navy ship named for the city)…
Charlotte, North Carolina welcomes Navy Week back for the first time since 2007, bringing approximately 75 Sailors from a dozen Navy units to the Queen City during the Truist Championship. As one of the fastest-growing cities in the Southeast, Charlotte offers a dynamic backdrop for the U.S. Fleet Forces Band performances, Discovery Place science museum programming, and military appreciation events at Quail Hollow Club.
The USS Charlotte (SSN-766), a Los Angeles-class submarine and the fourth Navy ship named for the city, has a crew with deep ties to Charlotte. North Carolina's 725,000 veterans and 12 military bases make the state a natural partner for Navy Week's outreach mission.
The Truist Championship is a PGA TOUR Signature Event (one of eight on the PGA TOUR) featuring 72 top-ranked golfers at Quail Hollow Club. Competition rounds run May 7–10 with Pro-Am on May 6. Military appreciation programming includes complimentary tickets for service members, veterans, and families, and the inaugural "Folds of Honor Friday" presented by Coca-Cola Consolidated. Quail Hollow is famed for the "Green Mile" finishing holes 16–18.
Charlotte is hosting Navy Week for the first time since 2007 — a return after nearly two decades.
