St. Louis Navy Week 2009 is packed with events demonstrating the mission of the Navy and our proud heritage. These events include Navy Band performances, Accelerate Your Life Experience (AYLE) Simulator and a Naval Aviation Static Display at the Spirit of St. Louis Airport, all intent to give the public a personal look at the men and women of the Navy serving throughout the world in different roles.

Vice Admiral David Venlet, Commander NAVAIR and Rear Admiral Lee Metcalf, Deputy Commander, NRMW will serve as our spokespersons.

Garrett Kasper, action officer from the Navy Office of Community Outreach and Sailors from Pre-Commissioning Unit (PCU) MISSOURI (SSN 780) present a Navy ball cap to a hospitalized child at the Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.

This year, 22 cities have been selected to host a Navy Week including Phoenix, St. Louis, Des Moines, Denver, Spokane, Rock County WI, Rochester, Chattanooga, Oklahoma City, Quad Cities IA, Boston, Salinas, CA, Omaha, Columbus, OH, Knoxville, York, PA, Reno, Greenville, SC, Houston and New Orleans.
