The goal of every Navy Week is to give area residents an opportunity to meet some of the Navy's Sailors and learn about the Navy's critical missions and its broad ranging capabilities.

Rear Admiral Douglas J. Asbjornsen and Rear Admiral Kevin J. "Komrade" Kovacich will serve as our leading spokespeople for Spokane Navy Week 2012. Also participating are Sailors with significant ties to the local area."

U.S. Navy Planning "Navy Week" in Spokane
The United States Navy is visiting 15 cities this year for their “Navy Week” to conduct outreach to communities who see a lack of Navy presence. Spokane is on the list for them to visit this year during the week of May 14th-20th. And no, they’re not bringing any ships up the Spokane River from the Columbia River.
