Mississippi Navy Week 2011, in conjunction with Thunder Over the Bay/Meridian Air Show, was packed with events demonstrating the mission of the U.S. Navy and our proud heritage. These events will include:
- Namesake crew visit,
- Blue Angels,
- Navy Band,
- Navy Suburban Tour,
- Navy Simulator

The goal of every Navy Week is to give area residents an opportunity to meet some of the Navy's Sailors and learn about the Navy's critical missions and its broad ranging capabilities.

"Secretary Ray Mabus, Rear Admiral Ted N. Branch and Rear Adm. Arthur J. Johnson, will serve as our leading spokespeople for Mississippi Navy Week 2011. Also participating are Sailors with significant ties to the local area."
