Indianapolis Navy Week 2011, in conjunction with the Indiana State Fair, will be packed with events demonstrating the mission of the U.S. Navy and our proud heritage. These events will include:
- Namesake crew visit,
- Navy Band,
- Leap Frogs,
- Navy Suburban Tour,
- Mobile Dive Tank,
- Navy Simulator

Deputy Chief of Staff for Fleet Capabilities Requirements, Concepts, and Experimentation
(N8/N9) U.S. Fleet Forces Command
 
Commander, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane (IN) Division

 

The goal of every Navy Week is to give area residents an opportunity to meet some of the Navy's Sailors and learn about the Navy's critical missions and its broad ranging capabilities.

"Vice Adm. Mark D. Harnitchek, Rear Adm. Scott T. Craig and Capt. Charles S. LaSota will serve as our leading spokespeople for Indianapolis Navy Week 2011. Also participating are Sailors with significant ties to the local area."

Mayor Greg Ballard today was joined by Congressman André Carson, City-County Councillor Maggie Lewis, U.S. Navy Vice Admiral Mark D. Harnitchek, and friends and family of Lieutenant Junior Grade Graham Edward Martin to rename in his honor Fall Creek and 16th Street Park.
