11:25 a.m. - Navy Band SE “Pride” plays at Hoover High School
Location: 1000 Buccaneer Drive

12:00 p.m. Rear Adm. Tim Alexander, Commander Navy Region Southeast, and Sailors from USS ALABAMA (SSBN-731) serve up meals with the Community Kitchens at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church
Location: 1024 S. 12th Street

6:00 p.m.The F/A-18 Flight Simulator is at Regions Park
Location: 100 Ben Chapman Drive


6:40 p.m. Rear Adm. Alexander and USS ALABAMA Sailors throw out the first pitch at the Birmingham Barons baseball game against the Huntsville Stars

6:55 p.m.Navy Band Southeast “Pride” and the Pelham High School NJROTC Color Guard perform the National Anthem at Regions Park


7:00 p.m.Navy Night with the Birmingham Barons

7:30 a.m. Rear Adm. Alexander visits the Habitat for Humanity project on which the Seabees from Navy Mobile Construction Battalion 24 (NCMB-24) and Sailors from USS Alabama are working.

9:00 a.m. – Navy Band SE “Pride” plays at Oak Grove High School
Location: Oak Grove Parkway, Bessemer

10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.The F/A-18 Flight Simulator is at Pelham High School
Location:
2500 Panther Circle, Pelham 

12:00 p.m. Rear Adm. Alexander receives the Navy Week proclamation from Birmingham Mayor William Bell, Sr. and tours the VA Medical Center
Location: 700 S. 19th Street

2:30 p.m.Rear Adm. Alexander addresses an assembly at the Alabama School for the Blind
Location: 705 South Street East, Talladega

3:00 p.m.USS ALABAMA Sailors tour the Alabama School for the Blind

3:00 p.m.Rear Adm. Alexander tours the Alabama Industries for the Deaf and Blind
Location: 1209 Ft. Lashley Avenue, Talladega

3:45 p.m. – Community reception for Rear Adm. Alexander and USS ALABAMA Sailors at the Alabama Industries for the Blind

4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. – Swim with the Navy. Special warfare and air rescue teach swim lessons at the Greystone Family YMCA

5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. – Navy Fitness Challenge at the Greystone Family YMCA. Includes the F’A-18 Flight Simulator and a performance by the Navy Rock Band SE “Pride.”

12:00 p.m.Vice Adm. Adam Robinson, Medical Corps Surgeon General and Chief of the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, tours the Mercedes-Benz US International plant in Vance

3:00 p.m. Vice Adm. Robinson tours the Lakeshore Foundation, including the Lima-Foxtrot program
Location: 400 Ridgeway Drive

4:00 p.m. Reception for Vice Admiral Robinson at the Lakeshore Foundation

8:30 a.m. – Vice Adm. Robinson tours the Birmingham Civil Rights Museum, 520 16th Street North

9:00 a.m. Navy Band SE “Pride” plays on the Plaza at the University of Alabama-Birmingham


9:30 a.m. – Vice Adm. Robinson speaks to directors and staff at the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute

10:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. The F/A-18 Flight Simulator is at Pell City High School
Location: 1300 Cogswell Avenue, Pell City


10:45 a.m. –
Vice Adm. Robinson tours the UAB medical campus and hospital

11:45 a.m. – Luncheon and speech to University of Alabama-Birmingham medical students

8:00 p.m. Navy Recruiting District Nashville Executive Officer, Cmdr. Breckenridge Morgan keynotes the Military Officers Association of America, Birmingham Chapter dinner

Throughout Tuscaloosa Navy Week, our Flag Officer and other special guests will do presentations and make visits to various local schools, hospitals and other civic organizations.
